Mrs Thomas Lemuel Williams.

Mary Mason was born abt 1823 in Tredegar, Monmouthshire, Wales. She moved with her family to Pottsville Pensylvania about 1833. Her father was Richard Mason (miner) and her mother was Mary (nee Watkins). She married Thomas Lemuel Williams in Pottsville 20 Nov 1844. Three children were born in the US, before Mary returned to Wales. In 1851 census, she is living with her husbands extended family in Glamorgan, (with the 3 children).Thomas is not in the census - perhaps he was still in America, or scoping out Australia. They emigrated to Victoria abt 1852, and their next son (Thomas McIvor) was named after the goldfields at Heathcote, Victoria.
