Receipt for purchase of Royal Bank shares by Thomas Comrie 2 August 1888

Receipt dated 2 August 1888 for an instalment of £250 for the purchase of 500 shares in Royal Bank of Australia Limited by Thomas Comrie. The Bank survived the Bank crash at the end of the 1880’s and merged with the The English, Scottish & Australian Bank Limited in 1927 which merged with the Australia and New Zealand Bank Limited in 1970 to form Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.
