Mining The Poseidon Lead, 2014
This photograph looks west to east through a long lens from the Laanecoorie-Newbridge Road.
The bulldozer has been working right at the site where many big nuggets were found in 1906/07.
The Poseidon Lead was discovered at about the point of the treeline, and trends into the paddock towards mid-left of the photograph. The rising ground of the Woolshed Hill can be seen in the left background, and mullock heaps from workings on the Woolshed Reef are visible through the trees.
