Tarnagulla Fire Brigade building, c1965

This building was originally constructed in about 1861 as bedroom accommodation for the adjoining Company's Hotel. The building to the right is in fact the old Company's Hotel (without its' second floor) which later became the Borough Council Chambers until 1915, and then the Mechanic's Institute until demolition in the 1960s. The bell tower was erected in 1917.
