Honorable Mention, Intercolonial Exhibition of 1866-67.

This is an important original document made available to the Tarnagulla Hall Committee courtesy of the family of the late Murray Comrie.
The Tarnagulla Borough Council forwarded to the Exhibition for display several noteworthy items of local interest, including an attractive and valuable box of gold-bearing quartz crystals. This display was awarded a rather elaborate Honorable Mention certificate which the Borough Council had suitably framed, and which remains in excellent condition to this day. Unfortunately the gold specimens were misplaced and have never been located.
